Back to Work I go...

I cant belive how time has gone so fast! I leave Indy on FrIdAy! It is very bitter sweet, I miss my job and the girls I work with but i'm going to miss Kurt even more! So if you want to come see me at the salon Please do, cause i'm sure i'll be lonely!

So here is a little up date of the past few weeks in Indy

After my parents left Kurt and I had a few days to our sevles, and then my sister Molly flew into town!

-heres the back story- it just so happens that my brother Jake and his Wife Melissa live in Lafayette, its a town abour 45 min. north of us.  Their baby was due at the begining of July and so that side of my family had already made plans to come visit them and baby Landon. Kurt and I just happend to be a bouns to their trip.

So I rented a car picked Molly up from the Airport and we headed to Lafayette.  Jake wasnt there because he left a few weeks before Landons birth for the Capitol Police Acadamy. He got to come home for the birth, but then had to go right back. When we got there Landon was still in the NICU for a few days due to a infection, so Mel stayed at the Hospital with him and Molls and I kept the cats company at the house.  It was so nice spending time with my sister, we really havent spent much time together sence High School. There has been the occsional holidays and vactions, but most of the time she is busy taking care of 3 kids(shes a nanny) or i'm busy working.  So it was nice to not have todo anything just hang out.  I wish we could spend more time together.  Now i'm sure some of you are thinking isnt she your step sister? so why do you call her your sister.  Well becasue she is! We become sister when I was 7 and she was 4, so as long as i can remember she has been in my life. Love ya sister. Any wasys....Landon came home a few days later and it was so fun to hold and snuggle him! I had to return the rental car so I drove back to Indy and spent the weekend with Kurt.  Then my Dad and Maria flew in to see Landon, they so kindly picked me up and off to Lafayette we went.  I stayed another few days and then Kurt came and picked me up.

The day before Molls and the Parents flew out we went to down town Indianapolis, wich was cool because we had yet to go down there. We walked to Monument Circle, wondered into a really OLD church and then found the Capitol Building, Unfortunaly it had closed 10 mins. before we got there. I love looking at old buildings.  As we were walking around we found this yummy looking resturant called Weber Grill , so we went there for dinner. It was sooo good, they have these preztal rolls that are so awesome and my steak was pretty yummy too! After dinner we said our goodbyes.

In between the trips to Lafayette we managed to do some tourist things.  We went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I had no idea that it was going to be so big.  We spent 2 hours there and prob saw 1/3 of it, Its amazing to me the talent that artist have especially
painters.  How can they stand so close to a canvas and create such a big picture? It blows my mind.

We also went to Kings Island with a buch of people from the office.
for those who don't know its a huge them and water park in Ohio about 2 hours from us.  We got there and hurried to the bathroom, well just my luck I busted my pinkie toe open!  Good thing one of the girls had band aids in her purse, so the whole day I wobbled a little.  We rode a few rides and then decided to change and go to the water park because it was so HoT!  As soon as we changed it started poring rain, I was very happy I had my swimwear on :)   We waited out the crazy 2 hour thunderstorm and I'm so happy we did cause it chased a lot of people away and it broke the heat.  Now I'm not a huge roller coaster person. A. because the anticipation of whats coming causes me anxiety. B. I get motion sick.  but Kurt lOvEs them.  So I sucked it up and went on some of the scariest rides I have ever been on.  here are just a few:
1. Diamondback- 230 ft. drop and goes up to 80 mph

2. Firehawk-115 ft. drop and goes 50 mph and you are laying down

3. Drop Tower- 315 ft. drops you at 67 mph

We never made it to the water park because of the storm and some stupid worker told me that after it closes due to weather they don't open it back up.  we later found out that it dId open back up!  I was so sad because that's what I was most looking forward to doing.  Oh well maybe if we ever come back.  By the end of the night we were so tired but wanted to stay for the firework show.  We got home at 2am and went straight to bed!

It really has been fun being out here! I love all the brick houses and how there are huge trees every where!  everyone has a yard with lots of GrEeN grass, life just seems simply out here. The flatness doesn't really bother me, but I do miss the bLuE sky.
