I think a lot of times we forget about the attack on Pearl Harbor
For me its because I wasn't even born yet....

Back in the summer of 2007 my Friend Holly was living in HI, I decided to go visit her and my other friend Ashley came with!  Pearl Harbor was a for sure to do.  It defiantly change my out look on it, I mean I read about it in history and of course saw the movie.  But being there was a totally different feeling!  It broke my heart to think of all those bodies still trapped underwater.  2,402 Americans were killed 1,282 were injured, lets not forget "A date which will live in infamy"

Road Trip to Vegas

The Weekend Before Halloween we took our very first family road trip to Las Vegas....
We left Friday Morning at 9am, we had a lunch date in Cedar City with Tres and Marx (Marx was headed up to Utah from Vegas)  IT was so nice seeing them!

On our way into Vegas it took us a while to find my moms new house in Henderson
-I know crazy she moved! it makes me sad to leave the house I grew up in!
Ounce we found our way there we kicked our shoes off and relaxed!  Zoey did really good in the car, she only cried when she was hungry.
That night we drove Downtown Las Vegas and looked at all the OLD hotel signs that were brought back to life from the sign grave yard.  It was really cool and I wished I had taken pictures.
Saturday Zoey and I went to the park so she could meet some of my friends.
Amanda, her cute baby girl Kate, Kelli, her son Dylan and Celina came.  We had so much fun catching up!  After the Park we went and visited Erin and her cute boys!
Sunday after church we went and saw Megan and Kole,(they live 5 mins from my mom ) Zoey was a bore and slept the whole time, but it was fun meeting Kole hes a good mix of Meg and Travis!  That night my Grandma came over for dinner and we took a four generation picture.
After dinner my parents drove us around their new neighborhood and showed all the things they love.  I'm so happy that they are loving the new area and house, its just going to take me some getting use to.

Monday we went by my Aunt JJ house, so she could meet Zoey, we stopped by Robertos for lunch! Yumm I wish we had one close to us!  Then we headed home!  It was such a fun Family and Friends weekend .  We probably wont be going back for a while, so I soaked up as much sun as I could!

Date Night

When Zoey was a few weeks old, Kurt and I went on our very first date as parents....The piece of advice I received over and over was to go out just the two of us as soon as we can.  We left Z with Grandma and Grandpa Hundley while we went to Rubios for Taco Tuesday, got Culver's ice cream and watched Battle Ship back at our place.  Keeping it cheap :)  It was so nice to have time to our selves, but we sure did miss our little nug!

Oh and I can't forget to mention the AMAZING Push Present that Kurt got me..This beautiful diamond and sapphire necklace!  Sapphire is Zoey's Birth stone, he is so thoughtful and such a great dad!  I can't imagine   doing this with out him!

Zoey Lynn Hundley

I figured it's about time that I share Zoey's Birth Story...

Before I get into her birth story I want to share my struggles with getting pregnant...
We started trying back in December 2010. I'm not gonna lie I was way nervous and not sure if I was ready.  But we just had a feeling that it wouldn't happen right away, especially with my family history. After about 6 months we started to become concerned.  Around that time I went to see my Dr. for my annual, we talked and he figured that I wasn't ovulating regularly.  He told me to keep better track of my periods ( count the days in between ) for a few months and then come back.  I went back 3 months later and because my periods were crazy irregular he decided put me on Clomed,   medication that makes me ovulate. It also has crazy side effects, poor Kurt!  He did amazing dealing with me :) After 4 months of being on Clomed I got pregnant!!

It was a hard year of ups and downs.  I had multiple melt downs and couldn't understand why everyone around me was pregnant except for me, no joke within that year I knew about 10 people.  We didn't tell anyone that we were trying, because we didn't want to get questioned/bugged about it.  After announcing our pregnancy and sharing our struggles with friends and family, I wished that we had talked about it.  I realized that there are more people that struggle with getting pregnant than I thought.  I'm fully aware that a year is really not that long and that my problem was an easy fix.  But it was still a struggle and trial that I know now we needed to go through.  It brought Kurt and I closer together and it built our faith in the lord tremendously.  Anyone out there struggling Please don't give up and have faith in the plan!

In my last post I told you all that I was going to be induced on Sept. 18th..
Well Zoey decided that she wanted to come on her own terms!

Kurt and I stayed up late the night of the 17th getting things already for her arrival!  So unfortunately I didn't go to bed until about 11 pm..At around 1:30 am I started to feel uncomfortable
(thinking it was something I ate)
But it did not go away..At 2 am I started timing my "stomach aches"..I was still thinking I'm not in labor, I'm supposed to be induced in a few hours. I just wanted to sleep, but they were coming every 7 mins.  At 2:30 am I woke up Kurt and told him that I was going to get in the shower and see if that would make me feel better.  By 3:30 am I finally admitted to my self that I was in labor, my contractions were coming every 5 mins.  I woke Kurt up and told him we needed to get ready to go to the Hospital!  We ate some cereal, gathered our things and headed out the door.  By the time I got checked in I was only dilated to a 3 :(  but my contractions were about 3 mins. apart.  Due to my high BP and that I was scheduled to be induced that same day, I was emitted and encouraging to get an epidural sooner rather than later.  Which I was totally okay with!  They also had to put me on Magnesium, because of my mild pre-eclampsia.  That was not fun, it makes you feel like you have the flu.  Nothing like puking and being labor :(

Kurt was so supportive and would rub my back and push on my knees until 6 am when I recieved my epidural.  My epidural didn't work on my stomach area and was still feeling my contractions pretty good.  I had to wait awhile to get it redone, finally at 9:30 am I was able to get it redone.  Then I was so numb that I felt paralyzed,  but it was nice to be able to rest considering that I only got 3 hours of sleep.  Around 11 am my water had broken and there was a lot of blood as well.  Zoey's Heart Rate had also dropped, so the nurse called my Dr. and told me to prepare for a C-section.  By the time my Dr. got there her heart rate had come up and he wasn't as concerned anymore.  We really didn't want a C-section and we felt comfortable waiting to see if my body would continue laboring on it.s own. I had to be on oxygen the rest of my labor to help with her heart rate.

We waited and waited and by 4 pm I was fully dilated,  by 5 pm I started pushing and at 5:35 pm Zoey Lynn Hundley was born!  She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19.5 inches long.  Those 35 mins are such a blur to me,  I was so tired and out of it.  All I know is that I couldn't have done it without Kurt, he was so supportive and encouraging.  I do remember that moment they placed her in my arms. It's indescribable the love I felt for her and Kurt!  I feel so blessed to be entrusted as this little girl's mom!

Still with Child

Yesterday I was 40 Weeks....
and today I'm still prego

Last Week at my Dr. appointment my BP was high,  So I did a non stress test, blood work, and 24 hour urine sample.  All my test came back with in normal range, so he told me to stop working and start resting!
We were hoping that I would go into labor on my own, but so far nothing.
At my appointment today my BP was still high so...Im on the list to be induced tomorrow.
I cant believe that its finally time to have her and see her cute face!
I'm defiantly nervousness about...well lets be honest Everything.  But ready or not here she comes :)

Here are some belly pics until I have some baby girl pics

The NeW Mr. and Mrs. Hundley

September 8, 2012
Congrats Craig and Natalia
Kurt's little Brother got Married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple

The sealing was beautiful, I loved hearing the advice the Sealer had for them.  I felt like he was talking to me, it's always a great reminder of the promises that Kurt and I made to each other.  The Bride and Groom were so Sweet and teary eyed.
After the Sealing we had an awesome lunch in the Hundley's backyard.  I stuffed myself with Olive Garden salad and fettuccine alfredo.  Then I took a much needed nap before the Reception in Natalia's parents backyard.  They did an amazing job decorating their backyard.

At the end of the day I was Exhausted! Being 39 weeks Pregnant I'm sure had something to do with it!
But I'm so grateful that my body and baby girl allowed me to be apart of their day!

tHe 3 0

Kurt turned 30 on the 4th

He is usually gone working for his birthday, so he decided that he wanted to do a Family Party
with all the summer activities that we always miss.
We went giant slip 'n sliding, BBQ'd some yummy food, and watched a movie projected in the backyard.
Kurt wanted to watch Willow.
I haven't seen it in so long, and it was better then I remember! :)
I surprised him with a 6 pack of  Swedish massages and a REAL Salt Lake shirt.

Love you Kurty!
