For her birthday I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, but with a big family it's hard to keep anything simple. Ha ha. Lucky for me I had lots of help form the Sis in Laws. The "theme" was sprinkles and the weather was perfect for it to be outside. So thankful that my in laws have a beautiful back yard! Iwe had chicken salad cersant sandwiches, some yummy salads and fruit, sprinkle cup cakes and Lehi Bakery sprinkle doughnuts, oh and a delish strawberry basil lemonade! We defiantly ate we'll. Zo was blessed with some cute clothes, head bands and toys. Thank you everyone that came and celebrated! We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives and know that Zo is so loved!

Other Summer Shana-Gins
With it being our first summer in Utah in Years we decided to get Pass of all Passes
We hit up Seven Peeks several times, went mini golfing and hit up some BYU Soccer games
It was nice to have some family time and free dates
Zoey Girl discovered the park this summer and loves going!
Kurts 31st Birthday!
August 4th
Kurts Favorite Band RUSH was playing a few days before his Birthday
He has been trying to see them for YeArS! Every time they have come to SLC he was gone for the summer working. So we decided we better go! He loved it and had such a good time....I may have taken a short nap on the grass...haha. In my defense I was really tired.
In July Zoey was having some really bad skin reactions..so we decided to do Allergy Testing.
With all my family in town I didnt get her in to the Dr. till August .
Her skin testing showed positive on Eggs and Cashews, the Dr. wanted to draw blood to check how
saviour the allergy was. That was the hardest part of the appointment, having to hold her while she cried. Broke My Heart!
Zo's Blood work showed Negative on Cashew and Positive on Egg, I guess you can get false Positives with Skin Testing. Good thing my insurance covered the full cost of her Epi Pens!
Hawaiian Ice Was are favorite summer treat!
For Labor Day we decided to end the summer with a Hike to Silver Lake
It was a Little cold but we survived! And Zo did amazing!

Birdsall's and Beard's in Park City
The first week in August, my dad, Maria, brother Jake, his wife Melissa and their little boy Landon (who live in DC) came to visit. My parents used their time share and got 2 town homes in Park City for the week. We were lucky enough to be able to stay up there most of the week, it was actually a closer drive for Kurt to go to work. Nick, Baylee and Bear were able to come up often too. We did a lot of BBQing, eating yummy food, playing games, relaxing, shopping, and enjoying the out doors.
One of my favorite days was when we went to Mirrior Lake, it was a little bit of a drive but so worth it! So so beautifull, can't wait to go back!

RoomMate Reunion
The weekend after the Hardens left, I went to St. George for a girls weekend. My mom was sweet and stayed in Ut. to help kurt with Zoey, so he could still work on Friday. I left Friday morning and drove to St, George. Ashley Hammack Butler drove from Phoenix, Erin Parry Cahill drove from Vegas and Ashley Child Peterson flew in from Denver. We felt like SG was a good middle for everyone. We have seen each other separately through out the years, but we haven't all been together since Ashley P's wedding in 2007! For those that don't know these ladies...I went to HS with Erin and Ash B. and then we moved in together after HS in Provo, Ash P. just happened to move in to the Same Apt. As us and we all hit it off so well that we lived with each other over the next 3 years. ( except Erin, she got married at the end of our 2nd)
A family friend has a beautiful house in St. George that she let us stay in for very reasonable price. Friday night we went to Pizaa Factory and then to Tuachan to see Mary Poppins. It was an amazing production, it was really warm for being 8 at night. I can't imagine how the dances felt with their costumes on. My favorite part was the chimny sweeps dancing on the roof, it pretty incredible all the talent those people have!
We stayed up until 3am just chatting a dn catching up, It was like we were roommates again and no time had passed! I could tell these ladies anything and not be embarrassed, shameful, judged or stupid. I love them like sisters.
Saturday we had some yummy breakfast at Kneaders and then did some shopping . Urban renewal was our first stop, to many cute things not to buy. I found an awesome aqua vase and couldn't resist. We were pretty hot and decided to cool down with a dirty drink and cookie from Swig. So delish, now I know what all the hyp was about. Then on to the gap and old navy outlets. We all found some cute sandals and clothes. Lastly we hit up Tai Pan, after that we were ready for some food and relaxation. Chilis hit the spot, on the way back to the house a crazy rain/wind storm hit us. It was nice because it cooled the air down, but it was crazy to see the damage it had done in such a short amount of time.
With the cooler weather we decide to take advantage of the beautiful pool and hot tub at the house. We again stayed up late talking, but were all ready to get home to our families on Sunday. It was sad to say goodbye, but decide that we won't wait 6 years to do it again! Ladies thanks for the memories and taking time away from your families to have a girls weekend! Love and miss you
