Grandma ANN

Oh its been a ruff month.....on Sunday March 17th my Beautiful Grandma Passed away at 89 years old.

I was very close to her.  I spent may days after school at her house do homework, crafts and just talking.  She was so amazing... she sewed, painted, gardened and cooked the yummiest food!  She shard these talents with me and taught me so much!

Her services were in CA on April 27th.  My Grandpa died before I was born (when they lived in CA) so naturally she was laid to rest with her husband.

Flights were so expensive that we ( kurt, zoey, nick, bay and bear) all jumped in a rented mini van and headed to Vegas on the 26th.  Early on the 27th we drove to CA for the service and family lunch, then back to Vegas that night.  Her service was short and sweet just how she would have wanted it.  On the 28th we dropped by my grandmas house and picked a few momentous.  This was the hardest part for me, in fact im crying as im typing, I spent so much time at her house and I knew I would never again see it.  I cant even put in to words how this amazing woman has touched my life!  I'll always cherish the time I spent cutting her hair, taking her to her favorite dollar store or when she would pick me up from school and  help me with my homework.
Zo not so happy in the car :(

I'll miss you Grandma more than I could ever express, I'm so grateful for the time we had together and that you got to meet my beautiful daughter!  love and miss you everyday!

JANUARY

MLK weekend Papa Steve and Grandma Maria came to Visit.  We enjoyed a day at Scheels, what a huge store with anything outdoorsy you can think of!  Even the cafe was yummy!  Maria made us some yummy Fondue and Chinese food!  Zoey and Bear got some good cousin time too.  It's always nice to have family come visit! Thanks for a fun Weekend!

FEBRUARY

For Valentines day Kurt got me some beautiful Flowers.  5 Years ago Our love story was just beginning, he had given me orchids for our first valentines.  In honer of that he gave me orchids again! So sweet of him to remember!  I made us dinner that night and tried to make it romantic, even with Zoey demanding our attention.

The Saturday after Valentines I planned a date for us.  Chinese theme.  I made Kurt an airline ticket, homemade fortune cookies and then went to Shoots for diner.  oh so yummy! I was so mad that we left our leftovers at the restaurant :(

Toward the end of February Zoey and I made a trip to Vegas.  Southwest was having a good deal and my mom needed her hair done, so it worked out perfectly!  I was a little nervous about taking Z on her first flight, but she was a champ!
The Weather was Beautiful, we went for jogs, visited friends and family, and just relaxed!  I didn't realize how much I depended on her swing for her naps, so nap time was a little challenging.  But I've been working on putting her in her crib for nap time and it's not going so good :(

MARCH

The first weekend in March I had my first try at Snow Shoeing....ugh I decided I'm not so good at it.  Half way through I took them off and was able to enjoy the hike much better.  I'm glade I stuck it out, Stewart  Falls is amazing this time of year.  Mostly frozen with some snow and water.

On the 18th Zoey turned 6 months....where did the time go!
Weight: 16lb
Height: 25.75 in
Fun Facts:  She rolls from her belly to back, but doesn't seem too excited by it.  Trying to sit up.  Likes Apples and Sweet Potatoes.  2 teeth on the bottom.  Loves to be out side.

The 19th was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary
I have Loved every minute of the past 3 years so much!  I dont know how I got so lucky to have found my Best Friend!  He is the Best Husband and Father that I always dreamed of!
To celebrate Kurt planned an outing to the Desert Star for us.  It was so fun! I had never been before, it's comedy, musical theater.  Oh and you can order food to eat at your table.  I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.

The same week as our Anniversary my sister Molly came into town and finally got to meet Zoey!  It was so nice to hang out with her, we made baby food and freezer meals.  We went to dinner with Nick and Baylee and left the babes with sitters.  I wish we lived closer and could do more together, miss you sis.

Lastly is Easter..we had a great day at church and then a yummy dinner at Kurt's parents and dyed some eggs!  SO grateful for the Savior and the example he is in my life!
