Vacation Part 1

A few months back Kurt and I decided to take a vacation to celebrate a few things (1) Kurt graduating with his bachelors degree (2) Christmas (3) My Birthday (4) Our almost 1 yr Anniversary.  We threw around a few ideas, but we finally decided on southern Cali.

So we packed our bags and left for Vegas the day after Brooke's wedding(Sat.).  That night I met up with  some girly friends and had some fun talk and food!

Then on Sunday we had Christmas/Birthday dinner at my moms! We did a gift exchange which was lots of fun! We finally got to meet Maverick and Brody, I wish we lived closer so we could see them more!

The whole gang was there: John & Cheryl, Nick & Baylee, Grandma Ann, Cooky, and Roy.Thanks mom and Richard for the yummy dinner, lots of laughs and a great Christmas!

Monday Morning we woke up bright and early and headed to Cali. We had tickets to Universal Studios, when we got there it was raining.  We decided to suck it up and grabbed our coats and the umbrella!  It turned out to be perfect, because of the rain, hardly anybody was there! We hardly had to wait in line at all and they had FREE hot chocolate! The Studio tour was probably my favorite, getting to see the behind scenes was pretty cool. It was hard to take pictures becasue of the rain. But we got to see where they film Desperate House Wives, War of the World, Psycho, and Whoville.  That night the rain had stooped enough for the Grinchmas program, it was fun to see the lighting of the tree.  Rain and all it was a fun day!

On Tuesday we slept in took our time getting ready and headed off to the Newport Beach Temple.  We got there just in time to do a session.  If you haven't been there, the inside is so beautiful!  After the Temple Kurt took me birthday shopping, we braved the crowds at South Cost Plaza.  We  found some good deals and had lots of fun just being together!  That night we had a yummy dinner at Buca di Beppo, I haven't been there in so long and forgot how good it is.
