8 Ladies and a Captain

Before I flew out to Indy I wanted to get one last Lake trip in, my parents had been trying to sell it for a while.  Kurt's sisters had mentioned that they wanted to go since all of your hubbys would be out of town through out the summer.  The Megleys had been trying to do a girls trip for a while, but life was getting in the way.  At first only Marx could come but then Meg and Tres were able to get work off!  So girls weekend at the Birds Nest was so on! 

Thursday Crystal, Brooke and her puppy Anna drove down to Vegas, we went to dinner at the King and I and then went to Town Square for some Yogurt Land.  The next morning Crystal, Brooke, Anna, Tres and I hit the rode.  My dad and maria had gotten there about a hour before us, and in true Birdsall fashion there was a small issue at the house..the Fridge was broken.  Maria opted to stay home and wait for the new fridge, so my dad could take us out on the lake. Thanks.  We cruised the lake a bit and then headed to Kens Cove where Brooke and I cliff jumped.  Ounce back at the house we headed into town to get some groceries for the new fridge.  Then Meg and Ash met us at Mudsharks for dinner, they had to work.  That night we played a few games and just hung out.

Saturday was a full day of fun!  Anna hadn't been eating or drinking and wasn't feeling good since Friday morning.  So Maria decided she would stay home with her- what a sweet Grandma in law!  we did some tubing, my dad must have been in a nice mood cause he was very nice to use. Then cruised through the channel - under the London Bridge and back to Kens cove to eat lunch and to do some noodling, sun bathing, and more cliff jumping.  Marx wanted to go and no one would go with her, pulse I didn't want her hiking up by her self.  After a few hours we headed back to the house and as soon as we walked in the door maria was very worried about Anna.  She had gotten worse while we were gone and thought they should take her to the Vet.  While they were gone we took naps showered and got ready to go see Something Borrowed.  Luckily Anna was ok, they gave her a shoot and some meds.  The 6 of us headed to the local movie theater, witch was $8 and a few steps up from a dollar theater. ha ha.  Any way we made it back to the house just in time for the most yummy dinner! Maria marinated some ribs and my dad BBQ them to perfection! We were all to tired and sunburned to play any games, so we just had girl talk. 

I forgot to mention that between the time we planed the trip and the time we went my parents sold the boat.  My dad told the guy he could pick it up the weekend were there :(  Bright and early Sunday morning we got up and cleaned the Boat, took some pictures and then the new owners were there to take it away...it was very sad I couldn't watch.  After we cleaned up the house and packed our cars we went down to the bridge and got some yummy shaved ice, then headed home.  Thanks Dad and Maria for a fun last Boat trip! and thanks ladies for coming!  oh and thanks Pops for being our Captain
