HuNdLeY's in Yosemite

Back at the start of MAY all of the Hundley's took a trip to Yosemite, thats 2 parents, their 7 kids,4 spouses and 1 baby Zoey... all in one cabin for a week.  It was quite the fun, fast paced trip...

We drove to Vegas on Saturday(we wanted to break up the trip)  and had some fun at the Shark Reef  and just relaxed before our long drive to Yosemite.
Monday we got up early and started the 8 hour drive to our cabin in Mariposa CA.  By the time we got there and unpacked most restaurants were closed in this little town, so we hit up the local tavern...yep Baby Zo and all!  I do have to say that is was one yummiest hamburgers I've had, or maybe i was just so starving that I would have ate anything....lol

The next day we hit up the Giant Sequoias Trees, they are amazing!  For sure one of my Favorites!

Wednesday we took it kinda easy and walked through the valley and looked at shops and then checked out Yosemite falls.  It was the perfect lil hike/walk.  After the falls the boys wanted to fish, so we picnicked on the 'beach' and just chilled.  The Weather was perfect for just relaxing and reading a book.

Thursday we hiked Mirror Lake,  It turned into much more of a hike then we expected.  There were Two trails, the first was 1 mile to the lake and the other was 6 miles around the lake.  By chance we took the 6 mile hike, it was a beautiful, but we were not prepared for the long hike.  Not enough food for us or Zo...So it wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped.  Zoey was a trooper we had to hold her the last mile, but considering she is such a good baby.
Friday was our last day in the park, so we drove up to Glacier Point to see the amazing view of the Yosemite Valley.  It made me weak in the knees to look over the edge!  After lunch we hiked NV falls.  it was a steep hike but so worth it to see the falls that close.  We couldn't go all the way to the top, it was to slippery and wet with Zoey.  But the rest of the group went up and said it was pretty cool.

Saturday we packed the cars, cleaned the cabin and hit the rode.  We stayed in Vegas again on the way back to Utah, so greatful that we had my moms to stay at!  By that point Zo was so over being in the car! She screamed probably 5 out of the 8 hours to Vegas. When we were in Vegas we enjoyed a trip to the Bellagio Atrium, I love going there each season!

It was a lot of fun and I loved being back at Yosemite (I have been several times with my family) and enjoyed the beautiful weather and nature, but it was a very exhausting trip.  Next  time I hope we pick some place closer.

Thanks Hundleys for a trip to remember.
